still waiting. Mom is going to be in okc this weekend. Conner is going to be in okc this weekend too. A trip i want to go on, but not sure i should. A veteran's home in edmond has a betting pool going on when i'm going to pop. The most money is the 20th. All money goes to me, so i don't care. Hehe! I'm hoping for the 18th. That's the day Jon's convoy was attacked. I want to make our survivor day a good memory.

I'm still alive. Battled croup in our house. First i got it, then Nikki. It's been a rough two weeks, but we're getting back to normal.

i'm now about 24 to 25 weeks. I've gained maybe 15 lbs, but i still have a lot of pain. Lots of ligament stretching and ripping. ow.

i'm taking this semester off school. It would have been a failure since i don't have internet at home and it takes me forever to get up and around. Filing for disability soon. We need the extra income.

so tired. Not sleeping.

How cool am I?

Way too cool for cats!

I've been in talks to try to procure a new location for Tulsa School of Defense. The library was too high maintenance with moving chairs and putting them back...and all that business.

So tonight I got an email of confirmation. Our school is going to be moving to the Mabee Gym Spirit Room at TU!!!

I rock.

Because I don't have time to paraphrase this whole article.

Read and enjoy.

One of the trainwreck LJ's I read regularly just floors me sometimes. THIS IS ABOUT NOBODY ON MY FRIEND'S LIST

I've noticed that one of the biggest enviro-loving, political tree-hugging, National debt-aware, military spendature shame-on-you addict... HAS THE BIGGEST CARBON FOOTPRINT I HAVE EVER FUCKING SEEN!!!!!!

Congratulations!

I'm gonna go take my Midol and get ready for work.

EDIT 7:23pm:

WOW!!! I MEAN, WOW!!! I love it when the people I post about prove me right in the SAME DAY!!!!!

I never want to hear him bitching about the environment for the rest of the year. Or ever.

As much as I will respect Obama as he holds the office of President...

I will refuse to be a supporter of, nor will I be joining, his Domestic Defence "Militia" that he speaks of creating. Smells of SS bigtime.

And people that rub it blantantly in people's faces that he is the President now and "ding-dong the witch is dead" chanting about Bush leaving... are really big babies and no better than children on playgrounds who throw rocks at the slow kids and call them retards.

Yes. I went there.

I actually woke up early to watch the inauguration. I sat in bed eating cold cheese sticks and pizza sauce I ordered from Mazzios last night. Comfort food, if you will.

I'm very glad the inauguration ceremony was running behind schedule. It provided a moment that will live in my mind forever. Barak Obama became President at 1200 EST as Yo-Yo Ma, I. Pearleman, and others played John Williams "Air and Simple Gift". It provided a serene, quiet, reverent moment at that time where the sun came out. It gave a moment for reflection. For symbolism and without all the noise and chants and pomp & circumstantial blather.

John Williams. Who more perfect to compose a piece of music that fits the scene perfectly. He is our master of mood music. He was successfully able to change my vantage point of the entire day. I hope someone comes out with a recording of that music.

Like I said, it changed my perspective of the occasion a great deal. This whole election has been so commercial. So LOUD. So mud-slung and spiteful it left a very bad taste in my mouth. But for that moment. One quiet moment only filled with the music of people of several colors, nationalities and orientations coming together to harmonize for one purpose. You could tell all four of those performers thoroughly enjoyed playing together to create that moment.

It was very movie-like and surreal. Right at noon CNN put the cameras on Prez. Obama during that swelling music by John Williams and the commentators officially announced him as the 44th President of the United States. Prez. Obama was sitting there, facing forward, looking over the massive crowd and his wife touched him on the shoulder and from what I could tell she whispered in his ear "it's noon". There was a slight proud smile on his face as he nodded slowly.

Yeah. That was my moment. I didn't vote for him, but from that moment, I will support him as the leader of our Nation. The Nation my husband serves proudly. I back him and salute him. Until he does something to betray the trust I cautiously bestow upon him.

Congratulations, President Obama. Do this for your daughters, and not for yourself.

I usually don't do pass-down memes but I really need this one today...

1. Stop talking about politics for a moment or two.
2. Post a reasonably-sized picture in your LJ, NOT under a cut tag, of something pleasant, such as an adorable kitten, or a fluffy white cloud, or a bottle of booze. Something that has NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS.
3. Include these instructions, and share the love.

McFarlin Library at night. It's by far my favorite building on campus. I'm looking forward to the renovations being made and all the construction scaffoldings being taken off.

NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY 2008

Share
bi pride
So...today (Saturday, October 11, 2008) is National Coming Out Day.

Ironically it's also the day of AIDS Walk. I've donated to the AIDS Walk. We're picking up Chyryne, so I don't know if I can go. Maybe. Hmmm...

Anyway.

I'm coming out to say I'm Married. I'm Bi. I date women. If something ever happened to Jon, I would be a lesbian.

I attend TU's GLBT Association meetings every Thursday night I can get away with at work. They have given me the confidence to accept myself for who I am and the lifestyle I live.

Jon knows I'm bi. He supports my lifestyle.

Ok. I'm officially "out."

Now I'm going to bed.

This is by far one of my favorite FARBY pictures!

I love this outfit. It's totally faire and not period. I figure I'd better wear it while I can before Felix comes out.

Because my Coco dog is the shit!!

I love the O.o look on her face here. She's awesome. She's also more allergy friendly than having a cat. She's more of a catdog.

That the most self-proclaimed patriotic people can't put their political viewpoints aside for one fucking day.

Let's remember the lost.

Oh...

And I'm also taking the time to thank the schitzo bitch who went off her meds. Her psychotic arguments about politics and Douglas Adams provided my dinner break with plenty of lulz.

Who argues with a veteran of modern warfare over body armor???!!

Obviously the daughter of a 'Nam vet.

Um...it's a different war in a different climate fighting over totally different things.

Welcome to the reality of people being blown up by cell phones and garage door openers.

But it doesn't matter...because we're all narrow minded and missing the point completely.

Yes, I know I should just ignore her and go on my merry way...but it's fun poking badgers.

Trisha Yearwood was just on Regis & Kelly. She made them look tiny. Or maybe Trisha Yearwood is just big. Can't decide which. But it made me o.0

Back to bed. I'm tired.
